October 2002 to Present, Ongoing casual contracts FORGACS CAIRNSCROSS DOCKYARD Position: Boilermaker Duties: Maintenance work and replacement of pipework on dredging barge. Modification, welding, installing fenders, and replacing faulty fire doors on cruise ships. Repairing damaged stern of container ship (Structural, plate work). Welding and repairing cracks in engine room of gas moving ship. Participation in the fabrication, welding and construction of 60m 80T city cat pontoon.   I have worked on a contract basis for the following companies; Milfab Vanguard Thai Steel Rocklea Pressed Metal Superior Pak Sims Metal Sun Engineering Duties performed include, Assembling and welding structural components; Fabricating, assembling and welding (Tig) frames, Awnings, security screens and other components development contracts; Ship maintenance; Welding parts for the production of cement mixers and petrol tankers; Assembly of components for the Gladstone Aluminium Smelter; Fabrication and assembly of garbage trucks.   Jan2003 Queensland Port Authority Boiler Maker Design, fabrication of equipment involving working techniques that involve cutting, welding, layout, and forming.
